FAQ For Intended Parents

Picture

If you're interested in having your child through surrogacy, you likely have many questions about the surrogacy process. Below are the answers to some frequently asked questions intended parents have about surrogacy.

What services will you provide during surrogacy?

We will work with you during the entire surrogacy process, this includes a rigorous selection, interview and screening of surrogates to ensure you will have only the most responsible and committed surrogates. Once you have selected a surrogate to work with, we will coordinate the surrogacy process by contacting and working with the various legal, psychological, medical and other professionals involved in surrogacy.

How are surrogates screened?

All of our potential surrogates are required to undergo extensive background checks, psychological and medical tests to determine suitability for surrogacy.

What if I'm an intended parent from another country?

We take great pride in helping intended parents from other countries become parents. If you're from another country we will assist you with getting all the necessary documents and paperwork that will allow you to take your child back to your country.

What type of surrogacy do you offer?

At our agency we only offer gestational surrogacy, this means that the intended parent's embryo will be fertilized at a fertility clinic and will be eventually transferred to a surrogate's uterus.

What if the surrogate doesn't pass the screening?

If the surrogate is found to be unsuitable for pregnancy after the screening process.  We will help you select another surrogate for no additional fees.

Can I be an intended parent if I'm single or a same sex couple?

Absolutely, we work with intended parents of any background.

How long does the surrogacy process take?

Most of the time it will take between 12 and 14 months to complete the surrogacy process.

How will I be matched with a Surrogate?

Intended parents will be able to review various surrogate profiles and select which ones they like the most. We will then send your profile to the surrogate you selected. If there is mutual interest, we will introduce you to the surrogate. If the intended parents and surrogate agree to work together then the surrogacy process will begin.

How will I make payments?

All the fees that will be used to pay for the surrogate mother's expenses will be held in a trust fund account managed by a  lawyer or a bonded and licensed escrow company. Any unused funds in the trust account will be refunded to intended parents once the surrogacy process is complete.
